IMPACT PLAY

Impact play is any activity involving the striking of the body. Your imagination is the only limit to what instruments can be used for this purpose. People use their hands, rulers (Head Master or School Marm and the bad student), hair brushes, paddles, canes, ropes, riding crops, floggers and whips. The buttocks and the breasts are the most common areas for impact play and both are generally safe due to the amount of padding located there. Please be careful of the kidneys and the heart. Usually things like a flogger are safe even in these areas but any direct impact to the kidneys could cause damage and directly striking the heart CAN cause the heart to stop beating or send it into ventricular fibrilation - causing it to beat wrong and fail to pump blood to the body properly.

When doing impact play it is very effective to swat the area a few times with whatever you are using. Then rub the item over the body area for awhile. Then go back with more strokes from what ever device you are using. Also, it is very effective to rub your hands over the part of the body that you are tormenting from time to time to help ground the person you are tormenting. The best thing to do is vary both the tempo and the intensity of the swats so that the recipient cannot anticipate exactly what to expect. BDSM is NOT about sex - it is about getting in the head of the recipient. The most effective and enjoyable BDSM activities is when the subject doesn't know exactly what to expect or when to expect it - so that they are unable to completely prepare their mind and body for it.

Just What is This BDSM Thing I Keep Hearing About?

BDSM is an acronym for several different things -

  • Bondage - Domination
  • Domination - Submission
  • Sadism, Masochism
  • Sado-Masochism
There are as many different aspects of BDSM as there are people that participate in it.  It encompasses everything from tying your spouse to the bed and making slow, mad passionate love to them to chaining a number of people outside in a barn or shed 24/7.  Yes, people do both - and EVERYTHING in between.  One thing you must keep in mind is that your partner(s) MUST consent to whatever you are going to subject them to however.  BDSM is nothing if it is not safe, sane AND consensual.  Actually, the submissive parties have most of the control in BDSM.  It they are not willing to experience something you have NO RIGHT to do it to them.

No, people that participate in BDSM activities are NOT crazy or insane.  They are fulfilling a fantasy that a lot of people have.  There are SO many aspects to BDSM. There is bondage   - from satin scarves to chains and shackles to straight jackets. Sensory deprivation - from ear plugs or a scarf tied over the eyes to total body encasement.   Impact - spanking, flogging, paddles, canes and whips.  Fetishes - medical play (yes even adults play doctor), bad student/head master, wax play, interrogation, fire play are just a few examples.
